IAC Accreditation Fees: Echocardiography, Vascular and Nuclear/PET

IAC publishes a fee schedule for each of its programs, and the base application fee runs from $1,800 to $6,000 per three-year cycle, with add-ons by testing area, procedural area, site, staff size and review speed. This guide sets out the full tables for echocardiography, nuclear/PET, vascular testing and vascular interventional, as IAC showed them when we opened each page on October 3, 2026. Verify current fees with IAC.

Last reviewed: October 2026.

What IAC publishes and where

The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission posts one fee page per program. We opened these four: echocardiography program fees, nuclear/PET program fees, vascular testing program fees and vascular interventional program fees (all pages opened October 3, 2026). None shows an effective date or version number. The page source of each carries a last-modified stamp of April 13, 2026, which is metadata and not an IAC statement of when the fees took effect.

How the fee structure works

On all four pages a base fee covers the application with one testing or procedural area in it, and each further area carries its own smaller fee. Each fee page ties its figures to a three-year accreditation cycle, so a lab budgets these as a per-cycle cost. The echocardiography, nuclear/PET, vascular testing, cardiovascular catheterization and cardiac electrophysiology pages add that payment happens inside the online application. The vascular interventional page says nothing about how or when payment is taken.

Echocardiography works differently from the others. The base fee attaches to the three transthoracic or transesophageal anchors (Adult TTE, Pediatric TTE, Perioperative Transesophageal), and the other echo areas carry a flat $250. Staff size also moves the echo total.

The per-site rates step down at site 4 and again after site 10. The vascular interventional page shows no per-site rates.

What the schedule does not include

Reading the schedule

The sums below are arithmetic on the published figures. They are not a quote from IAC, not an estimate of any bill, and they leave out any rule the pages do not state.

Related IAC programs on other IHS pages

IAC also lists fees for cardiovascular catheterization and cardiac electrophysiology. The IHS pages on cath lab accreditation and electrophysiology program accreditation cover ACC accreditation for those service lines and do not discuss IAC.

IAC programItemFee
Cardiovascular catheterizationApplication base fee, Adult Diagnostic or Pediatric Diagnostic Catheterization$6,000
Cardiovascular catheterizationEach additional area (PCI, Valve Interventions, Structural Heart Interventions, Complex Adult Congenital Heart Disease)$2,000
Cardiovascular catheterizationAnnual assessment, charged twice after the first year of the grantAdditional $1,500
Cardiac electrophysiologyApplication base fee, Cardiac Electrophysiology (Device Implantation required), or Device Clinic Standalone$6,000
Cardiac electrophysiologyEach additional area (LAAO or Device Clinic add-on)$2,000
Cardiac electrophysiologyTesting and Ablation or Chronic Lead Extraction added after an initial application for Device Implantation only$2,000

Both pages also say special pricing exists for some applicants, including labs applying for cath and electrophysiology together, and they point to IAC for terms. Sources: IAC cardiovascular catheterization program fees and IAC cardiac electrophysiology program fees, pages opened October 3, 2026.

What this is not

Frequently asked questions

What does an IAC accreditation application cost?

It depends on the program and how many testing or procedural areas you apply for. On the pages we opened October 3, 2026, the base application fee ranges from $1,800 (echocardiography and vascular testing) to $3,800 (nuclear/PET) to $6,000 (vascular interventional, cardiovascular catheterization, cardiac electrophysiology). Verify current fees with IAC.

Is the IAC fee a one-time charge or an annual charge?

Treat the application fee as a per-cycle cost: every fee page ties its figures to a three-year accreditation cycle. Only the cardiovascular catheterization page adds a recurring charge, an annual assessment fee after the first year. The echocardiography, nuclear/PET, vascular testing and vascular interventional pages list no annual fee, so ask IAC whether any recurring charge applies to your program.

How is a multi-site facility charged?

The echocardiography, nuclear/PET and vascular testing pages publish the same per-site rates: $1,460 for sites 2 and 3, $1,195 for sites 4 through 10, and $1,015 for each site over 10. Networks beyond 25 sites get no published rate and are sent to IAC. The vascular interventional page shows no per-site rates.

Does the echocardiography fee depend on staff size?

Yes. The three base fees (Adult TTE, Pediatric TTE and Perioperative Transesophageal) are priced for a team of up to six, and the page then charges $200 per staff member for a total of 7 to 25 and $50 per staff member over 25. The page does not say whether the $200 applies to each member above six or to every member once the total passes six, so confirm with IAC.

Do these figures include the cost of preparing the application?

No. They are IAC's fees to IAC. They do not cover internal staff time, outside consulting, travel, or anything else a lab spends to prepare. IHS does not set or collect IAC fees.

Will the figures on this page change?

They can. The fee pages show no effective date. We opened each on October 3, 2026, and IAC controls its own schedule, so check the linked page before you budget.
