Double-Check Your URAC Directory Listing

URAC-accredited companies often place great importance on the fact that one of the benefits of accreditation is being listed on the URAC website in the directory of accredited companies. Consumers, prospective clients, and even regulators use this site to confirm the accredited status of healthcare organizations.

We at Integral Healthcare Solutions have noticed in recent weeks, however, that some of the entries on the directory are not accurate. The most common error we have found in talking to our clients and other accredited company representatives is an inaccurate recording of an organization’s accreditation expiration date. This has happened more frequently in connection with those companies that have chosen to opt for a third year. On a number of occasions, the directory shows such organizations’ accreditation expiration date as the two-year expiration date, rather than the three-year date.

Therefore, we recommend that all accredited companies go to the URAC website’s directory to confirm that the information shown there is consistent with that of the accreditation certificate.
