Core v. 2.0/2.1
The following are best practices and other tips about URAC's Core v. 2.0/2.1 Standards.
Note that URAC is in the midst of a transition period between v. 2.0 and v. 2.1. Because the winter 2007-2008 changes in the standards consolidated Core 21 with Core 22 and Core 35 with Core 36, all standards with a number higher than Core 21 have a new number, one which is either one less than the previous version (Core 22-35) or two less (Core 37). What is confusing is that some applicants still in process are operating under the old v. 2.0 numbering system, and some are under the new, 2.1 version. To make matters even more confusing, for reasons we do not know, URAC's proposed revisions, which will soon come out, are also called v. 2.1, despite the fact that they will be significantly different from the 2.1 version released last winter.
So, take whatever numbering you find in these pages very lightly. We haven't fully made the switch to the v. 2.1 numbering system in all these blogs that predate the switch, although we're fixing them as we find them.
Bear with us, folks, we're dancing as fast as we can.
