Lori Harris-Stevens, RN, MHA, Senior VP
For the last seven years, until February 2006, Lori Harris-Stevens was Vice President of Accreditation for URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization and a leader in promoting health care quality through accreditation and certification programs.
Ms. Harris-Stevens joined URAC in 1997 as an Accreditation Reviewer. As an Accreditation Reviewer, Ms. Harris-Stevens focused on performing accreditation reviews for the Health Utilization Management, Workers’ Compensation Utilization Management, and Health Call Center Accreditation programs. In addition to her accreditation reviewer responsibilities, Ms. Harris-Stevens was the primary URAC staff person assigned to the development and implementation of the Health Call Center standards.
Ms. Harris-Stevens, a Registered Nurse, has 20 years of experience in the health care industry, and over 15 years of experience in the managed care arena. While working in managed care, her responsibilities included the oversight and management of utilization management, quality management, case management, and telephone triage activities. Other managed care experiences include contract implementation, provider network development, and operations development of HMO, point-of-service, PPO, and indemnity health plan services. Before working in the managed care industry, Ms. Harris-Stevens had extensive experience in both the public and private health care sectors. Ms. Harris-Stevens has a Masters degree in Health Administration. Ms. Harris-Stevens assists the clients of Integral Healthcare Solutions with compliance and accreditation management issues.
